Keep Your Meals on Wheels Donation Local | Wichita County
Meals on Wheels Wichita County wants to make our community aware of a recent mailing from Meals on Wheels America, the national organization that lobbies in Washington D.C. for Meals on Wheels programs across the country. While we are proud members of this national network, Meals on Wheels Wichita County operates independently as a local nonprofit serving seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout Wichita County.
Recently, some households in our service area have received direct mail donation requests from Meals on Wheels America. These mailers look very similar to our local ones, and we want to ensure our supporters understand the difference. Donations made to Meals on Wheels Wichita County stay right here in our community, helping us deliver hot meals, safety checks, and friendly visits to more than 750 homebound neighbors each weekday.

Your generosity makes a lasting impact close to home. Every dollar given locally helps us continue our mission to fight hunger, isolation, and loneliness among our aging and disabled neighbors.
We are deeply grateful for Meals on Wheels America’s national advocacy and awareness efforts, but it’s important to know that gifts made through their mailers do not directly support our local program or clients.
Thank you for continuing to give where you live and ensuring your donation supports the seniors who rely on Meals on Wheels Wichita County every day. Together, we’re delivering more than just meals — we’re delivering compassion, care, and connection across our community.
